It is a peroxide based solution. The reason they need to sit for six hours is because it takes that long for the neutralizing disc to disinfect the contact lenses and denature the peroxide. If you are taking them out for short periods, you can store the lens in plain saline solution and still be able to put them back in, but make sure if you are using the Clear Care that they do stay in for at least 6 hours, otherwise you risk ';burning'; your cornea. NEVER put Clear Care directly in the eye. This is one of the only brands I will personally use as it is great for cleaning the lenses and removing harmful deposits.People who have used Clear Care contact solution?
Its best to have a seperate case for storage with the saline if you are just popping them out for short periods, but you can also put them back in the clear care case with the denatured water (not fresh solution) for up to 24 hours for storage.
