Try clicking in the field when it's empty and see if anything populates below - if you see anything, you should be able to highlight it, then press ';delete'; and it will go away - if you leave your finger on delete, it should go down through, deleting everything that pops up





Also, if you have Google search, click on Settings, then go into Options, click Search Box Settings and make sure ';Suggest Searches from my Search History'; is NOT selected.





If you have other Search toolbars, you may want to go into their search options areas and check to see if there's a way to uncheck search history or something like that. Good luck!
