Try taking the SIM card out and putting it back in. If that does not work then try a master reset:
Master Reset
NOTE: Performing this function will reset all user-defined settings on the device.
From the standby screen, press the Menu key.
Scroll to ';Settings';, then press Select.
Scroll to ';Initial Setup';, then press Select.
Scroll to ';Master Reset';, then press Select.
Enter Security Code (default: 000000), OK.
Confirm ';Reset All Phone Settings?'; Select YES.
Master reset complete, phone restarts.
My motorola razor says contact service provider. The service provider could not clear the problem. any help?
You could try a couple of things. First though did you talk to tech support at your provider not just a customer service rep. Call your provider from a different phone, not your cell phone. If they still can't fix it then call Motorola. You should find a customer service number in your manual or look on the web to find their number. Be sure and get to speak to tech support. If you are under a contract and especially if you have some warranty left then make them replace the phone if the problem can't be solved. If you send in your phone DO NOT send them your SIM card. You will need it for the phone they send you ! Good luck !
