Who can do i contact if landlord does not clear brush from front door entrance?

I recently moved in a 4 unit apartment complex(2 units on the top and 2 on the bottom) with my two children (7yr old and a 2mth old). A week after i moved in the owner started doing repairs on the unit in front of mine. From the time he gets off work until as late as 1:00am he is making noise. I figured that it would only be acouple days and i never complained About a week ago he began removing the hedge that completely covers a brick wall runs along side of the property and is taller than the 2 story complex. It is impossible to enter my unit from the front entrance not to mention the walk way that runs along side of the complex is completely covered with the brush. Who can i complain to? He has not once appoligized for the inconvience nor did he mention to me that he would be block the front door entrance. I am worried about all the insects that a crawling around due to the disturbance. Please any advice is appreciated .Who can do i contact if landlord does not clear brush from front door entrance?
You do not want to start any ill will with your landlord. Call him and request a meeting and tell him your concerns. If he is uncooperative politely inform him that you are paying him for a habital place to live and at this time you do not feel it is habital. If he still does not remedy the issue with you feel free to contact your local fire department. Blocking an entrance to a residents is considered a fire hazard. They will more then likely slap him with a big fine. Call the fire department.
Explain to him nicely that it is a safety issue, i.e., you are not able to enter or exit your house from the front. I'll bet he will fix the problem quickly. Good landlords do not want problems. Follow up your concern with an e-mail or letter, and I'll bet you will see results.
