Want to get colored contacts, but only have prescription for clear contacts?

If I just got a prescription for clear contacts (monthly soft lenses) a month ago, can any doctor prescribe me colored contacts based on that information. Would I have to redo the whole exam and fitting again? I can't get it from my regular doctor due to a move.Want to get colored contacts, but only have prescription for clear contacts?
The lenses you wear may be available in a tinted or colored form. This should not require a new fitting.

It varies from office-to-office how they would charge you if you needed to move to a different lens make or model.

I'm not sure if you can contact me directly, but if there is a response capability to Ask Yahoo, write me with the identifying numbers and name on your current contact lens box. I would be better able to address your particular case.Want to get colored contacts, but only have prescription for clear contacts?
You would probably need to add to get the same contacts with color. Try to compare prices and decide where the additional fee is better
If you still have your prescription or know what strength lenses you need, you should be able to walk into any eye doctor's office, or online contact supply store and order any color you want... colored lenses are usually a little more expensive - but I love playing around with the different colors. Anytime you have a new prescription you have the option of taking your prescription anywhere you want to purchase glasses, or contacts.. you're not obligated in most cases to purchase from your eye Dr. and no you shouldn't have to get a new exam or fitting if your prescription is new - and all contacts pretty much fit the same. Good luck, and enjoy those colored contacts! My faves. are cobalt blue.... or green..it's so much fun!
when u go to get ur clear contacts ask about the colored ones okay
Depending on the brand you are wearing.... For example if you were wearing acuvue 2...they make acuvue 2 colors... in that case you may not need a new fitting. You won't need a new eye exam because your prescription is still the same. You may need a new contact lens fitting because different brands/types fit differently and have various parameters. :)
ask if there is a possibility of getting colored lenses=you might have to pay an extra fee
