write one letter to each bureau, and be sure to state you have been denied credit and are requesting a free copy of your credit report...
Once you get those reports, then check each one to see exactly what is on each report...
then zif you do have credit card debt, that is more than seven years old, from the date it first was delinquent, then you can reuqest that the credit bureau remove that line from your credit report...
You'll need to write another letter to the credit bureau, explaining that this one specific line is more than 7 years old, and as such is out of date, and inaccurate, and needs to be removed...
Be sure to send this dispute letter via certified mail, return reciept requested, and request an updated report be sent to you.
do this for evry line you think is out of date, and send it to every credit bureau they appear on, and in time you'll get all of the out of date stuff cleared off...I have an old credit card debt i want to clear who do i contact to clear them?It has been seven years....?
It's a possibility that it already came off your credit reports. Go to annualcreditreport.com or just call Trans Union toll free @ 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. Just go to equifax.com, transunion.com,and experian.com and dispute that account for free on there, when they ask you for the reason why put down its been past 7 years, it should come off with no problem. E-mail me if you have anymore questions on how to do it, I was able to get three accounts off my report this way.
