How to clear the contact search bar?

For the Yahoo toolbar check the controls under the pencil menu. For other toolbars check their options.





The list which appears in a search box is actually part of the forms fill-in feature controlled by your browser. Clearing history or cookies will not remove the search history. Clearing history only removes the history of sites visited not searches.





To stop or clear search history in Internet Explorer:


Go to tools/internet options/content tab.


Under Personal information click on the ';AutoComplete'; box.


You can ';clear forms'; or stop search history there.





A single item can be deleted rom the search history by pressing the ';delete'; key while the item is highlighted.

Go to tools/options/privacy button/saved forms tab


You can ';clear forms'; or stop search history there.





A single item can be deleted by pressing the ';shift delete'; key while the item is highlighted.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.


The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.


you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.
