Can i have a STI if the only person i have ever had any sexual contact with is clear?
Yes, you can still have an STI - chances are that you don't, but you need to understand what happens during an STD test to really understand what a ';clean'; result means.
Most STDs can be diagnosed via blood, urine, or cell samples. But here鈥檚 where things get tricky: Most doctors won鈥檛 test you for every STD, and unless you know precisely what to ask for, you may not even realize that the tests were incomplete.
Your boyfriend may be clear of what he was tested for, but that doesn't mean that he's clear of everything. In fact, there is no way to test men for one of the two most common STDs, HPV, the sexually tranmitted disease that causes genital warts and cervical cancer.
If you are concerned - and certainly if you have any unusual symptoms like a rash or discharge - you should see your doctor immediately.
My primary source for this answer was the Sex Health Guru video on STD Testing, which can be found at:

some people have the virus and don't know they have it, and can get tested and show up okay, but that don't mean your clear. This virus lives in the nerves and sometimes never shows up. Like chicken pox
it is consider stage one of the herpes virus and then stage two is the shingles. we all carry the nasty bug, but it is written that stress, unhealthy living can cause outbreaks. did you know that a cold sore is hsv type 1 which means herpes. always practice safe sex, there is alot worst out there. just remember, you are sleeping with everyone he has slept with. if he is your first, then the question is are you his first, if not, then it will be hard to say if your clear or not. HIV takes seven years to show up.
safe sex is the answer.
No. Lets say that he had syphilis. Well, syphilis is only contractable in early stages. So he could have given it to you and then got treated and now you still have it.
Anyways, if he got treated you need to go to your local health dept and tell the nurse that the guy you were with got treated for ';whatever'; so that can check you out FOR FREE. they will prob give you the medicine anyways (that's what most Local Health Dept protocol calls for)
Only if he is being honest with you! It is a good idea to have your body checked out intermittently, just as you would a car; it will do no harm to have yourself checked out if there is the slightest possibility he is lying to you.
Probably. However, remember that some STDs have no symptoms soon after infection, and some STDs take time to show up positive on tests (such as HIV).
Yes.
STD's don't just self generate. They have to come from somewhere.
Yes unless ur bf is lying. but never take a chance with sex always use a condom even if ur on the pill x
