Is it true that coloured contacts are harder to put in than clear?

some one told me that, but it doesn't make sense...

i mean, how does that work?

i have clear ones currently, and i'm thinking of getting coloured. Is it true that coloured contacts are harder to put in than clear?
They r both contacts so i don't see y its harder.

Is it true that coloured contacts are harder to put in than clear?
i didn't see a difference in putting them in. It was just easier to find the colored one if i dropped it or something.

Clear vision in the day without wearing any contact lens.?

im interested in the contact lens which are used in the night when we are sleeping.when we remove our lens we will be able to have clear vision for the whole day.how true is that?any cons for wearing that type of lens?Clear vision in the day without wearing any contact lens.?
Debbie.........Dont count on it. You have fallen prey to an advertising scam. There are no magic cures for eyesight. If you want to correct your vision problems your choices are:

Glasses, Contacts ( and only when your eyes are open ), surgery. There is no magic lens that heals your eyesight during the night while you sleep. They do offer contact lenses that you can sleep in, but the side effects are not worth the risk. Your eyes need O2, and contact lenses cut off the supply of oxygen. If you must wear contact lenses, I recommend the extended wear contacts. You remove them daily. I have heard of a surgery called Crystalens. That envolves the removal of the eye's natural lens, and then a corrective lens in put into place. It completely eliminates the worries of cataracts, but then again, you do have someone digging around in your eye.

Here are a few sites that will help you understand what is real, and what is hype:

http://www.boothelasercenter.com/?adsour鈥?/a>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LASIK

I hope these few websites can give you the ANSWER to your question. Good luck, and don't believe everything that you hear.Clear vision in the day without wearing any contact lens.?
When I decided to get contact lens I considered those type lens but decided against them because one of my friends use them and she said it hurts like hell and sometimes her eyes bleed! I dont know how true that is, maybe she was exaggerating, but I decided against having those. Also consider that this is still a very new type of technology, and who knows what type of long-term effects that they will have on your eyes when you're 80?

Do you have ordinary contact lens now? Because if you do, seriously I would stick with them. Mine at least dont bother my eyes at all and although taking them off and on is a bit of bother, there are types of contact lens that claims that you can wear it overnight. I have that type, it's called Night and Day and it's made by a company called Ciba Vision. However when I bought them they recommended they you still dont wear them for over 12 hours.

Its your choice. You should probably talk to your optician about this, (s)he will be able to give you more information.
Why not just find a way to restore your vision so you don't need contacts

I personally know of 2 ways the friends and family have improved there vision

1. Improve Your Vision With Eye Exercises

2. Proper nutrition %26amp; antioxidants

This is a way cheaper and safer for you than laser eye surgery.

Its great my wife now has perfect vision and doesn't have to bother with contacts %26amp; wearing eye glasses anymore

How is it legal (In the US) to have a phone book with everyones contact info? Isn't that a clear violation of

the right to privacy? I can't believe that this is actually allowed.

I know your allowed to block your # (and info) but it costs money which I'm not sure how that's legal. There is no way someone should have the right to infringe on your privacy in the most open manner. I think the most legal and fair way to make this constitutional would be to send everyone in the phone book a letter and only if they sign and agree to have there info should there info be included. That should show the phone book companies how much names will be gone. It just seems there taking advantage of ordinary people who don't know the constitution or any rights they have.

P.S. Out of Curiosity why do people want there info in the phone book. If it's not a business (that would be the yellow pages), your info should be known by friends/family and others. People who just get your # out of a phone book are probably not those you would want to be called by. Is that right? How is it legal (In the US) to have a phone book with everyones contact info? Isn't that a clear violation of
As others have pointed out, being listed in the phone book is optional. Meanwhile, your phone number is not really regarded as confidential and protected information. Neither is your address.

The reason I have my name and address listed in the phone book is because I move around a lot and I don't always remember to notify every person I know. If any friends have lost my number, I want them to be able to find me.

For the issue to go to the Supreme Court, you would need to file a lawsuit and lose your case in the lower courts so you can appeal it up to the Supreme Court. They would need to agree to hear your appeal. This would require that you have some Constitutional issue upon which you base your case. What clause in the Constitution exactly would you base your argument on? I don't see anything in the Constitution that comes close to granting you the right to keep your number and address private. How is it legal (In the US) to have a phone book with everyones contact info? Isn't that a clear violation of
Your listing in the book is voluntary. When you sign up for phone service you can ask to be ';unlisted.'; Also, they ask you if you wish to be in the book, and how you wish to be listed, ex= many single women wish to be identified by their initials only.
All you have to do is ask for an unlisted number and then no one can get it and that is free.
There is no consitutional right to privacy.
No one requires you to have a phone at all. If you voluntarily agree to have a phone, the agreement is with a private company, not with the government. As such, you and the company can agree to whatever coditions you wish. If the company say that they will publish your name and number unless you pay extra, you are free to decide not to have a phone. The constitution limits government action, not the private company. If it did apply to private companies, you would notice that is has no explicit right to privacy.

You are asking about something called ';diplomatic asylum';. It is extremely rare -- the last time it happened in Europe was with Cardinal Mindszenty in the US Embassy in Budapest, where he lived for 15 years from 1956-71.

Other than that, it has been granted and honored by the host government mostly in Latin America.

It is to be distinguished from kidnappings by embassies and the shipment of the kidnapped persons out of the country in crates or by speedboat. The Nigerians have tried it in Britain (and been caught); the Israelis succeeded in Italy (with Mordecha茂 Vanunu).

Don't count on embassies accepting you. They are more likely to call the local police and have you removed, if you don't leave quietly. Can I contact an embassy in my state (republic) to ask for aseulysm?please,be concise and very clear...thanks!
do you mean Asylum? You need to talk to the embassy/government of your chosen country for starter.

What is the Radio Carbon Dating for? Thats not much use on recent items, usually reserved for archaeological objects, and its expensive, at least 拢600 a go typically. What exactly did you want C14 dating and why??
Yes.

Do it immediately

You will avoid trouble.
Try the French, German, Danish, Netherlands or Belgian embassy nearest you, they are fairly lax on immigration and may be able to help you. If you come from one of their former colonies, your chances are even better.
Could you rewrite the whole thing again it doesn't make on bit of sense what you have wrote there.

Why do i see blurry with my colored contacts if i see perfectly fine with my clear ones?

Three weeks ago i got clear contacts %26amp; the first 2-3 days i saw really blurry, but by now i was seeing perfect. But i just got color ones %26amp; i'm seeing really blurry again. Will that go away in a few days too or is that not normal? Maybe they're in backwards but i cant tell because my clear ones have letters to make sure they're in right but my color ones dont. How can i tell if my color ones are in backwards? They told me that if they look like a bowl they're in right, but i dont see a difference no matter what way i flip them! Please help me!Why do i see blurry with my colored contacts if i see perfectly fine with my clear ones?
Mine did that to when I first got them. It is because they are new and slipping on your eyes. When they move too far you see through the color and get a blurry visual. It will adjust. Every time you go from clear to colored it will probably do that because your eyes are trying to adjust to the way they have to work with a colored lens in.Why do i see blurry with my colored contacts if i see perfectly fine with my clear ones?
It's the wrong prescription.
The color doesn't fit your true aura. Try a different color. Good Luck ! :)
I was going to say, maybe poor quality. Are they the same type as your clear ones? Are they the correct prescription??

You could take them back to where you got them. Never be afraid to return something if it isn't working like it is supposed to. Keep ALL receipts.
the same thing happened to my friend. he just can't wear them.

  • Colored contacts or Clear contacts?

My parents are finally letting me contacts, because glasses just aren't working out well for me anymore.

And I was wondering if colored contacts cost more than regular ones,

and if the prescription for regular ones would work with colored also. Plus I also wanted to know if I could get a mixture of both colored and clear, would that cost tons of money? Or would it be the same cost like if I was only getting one.

Thanks in advance !Colored contacts or Clear contacts?
Colored contacts cost more than regular contacts. The prescription is the same for both. I do not know if insurance covers colored contacts so you would have to pay for them out of pocket. The are at least 10 dollars more a box. Depending on the color they can take a little while to get used to. I have brown eyes and got the bright blue contacts and it was a little difficult to see through them for the first couple days. I had green ones and they were no different to look through. Each box comes with six contacts. If your eyes are two different strengths then you would have enough for six months.Colored contacts or Clear contacts?
my contacts cost like 50 dollars and i have clear so if you wanted a mixture it would be probably like 125 or something i would say do that so you can try both but if you can only afford one get clear first then colored.
    colored cost more

yeah the prescription would work for both that is if you get the same prescription on both x)

You probably could get a mixture I guess would have to ask

not sure about the cost of that
    Colored; they're so pretty.
    regular ones
colored to cost more, but they look kickass. Just go with clear.

How do I convince a friend to let me contact our friend so I can clear the air?

had a bad falling out with a friend. He won't talk to me. My main way to contact him is through a mutual friend. I tell this other guy, I still cry over it months later, I still have bad dreams, and that I would like to talk with him directly, even if online.

He wouldn't hear any of it, and said I should move on.

What do I say in response? I need to get some closure with this guy for my peace of mind, and he's cutting off that possibility without even consulting with our friend. For all I know the guy in question wouldn't have a problem with it.How do I convince a friend to let me contact our friend so I can clear the air?
Why do you have to go through a mutual friend? Do you not know where this guy hangs out, or where he lives, works? Try to find out yourself where he may be and go to him directly. Then, if he snubs you himself, at least you tried.

Failing that tell this friend you need closure on this issue and if he is your friend at all, he'd understand that, and to please let you know the best way to contact this third party, so you can keep this other friend out of it as a ';Middleman';How do I convince a friend to let me contact our friend so I can clear the air?
He's the only way to contact your other friend??

I would just tell him that you have a guilty conscience and would feel much better if he knew how you felt....so ask him if he would help you out.
Stop chasing and turn back to run away...You will be chased.

Why does my vision become foggy when i wear contacts and i need to blink a couple times to make it clear?

I just got Focus Dailies and I have this problem sometimes. Why does my vision become foggy when i wear contacts and i need to blink a couple times to make it clear?
This is normal for the toric lenses. They rotate to correct astigmatism and I usually have to blink a few times until they rotate into place. Why does my vision become foggy when i wear contacts and i need to blink a couple times to make it clear?
that happends to me sometimes to.

but im not sure what it is, sometimes i think its because i didnt clean them well or its time to switch to new ones

or my eyes are just really tired
that happens to me all the time because i don't clean them as much as i should.

all i can suggest is to NEVER sleep in them (i made that mistake) and clean them daily =)

Further to my previous question, if my ex and I dont contact each other for 2 months, will it become clear if?

I cant seem to live with or without my boyfriend and feel I am just stringing him along because I cant make my mind up. I know this is wrong but he has done some pretty bad things in the relationship. My family have all said if we cut off contact with each other for 2 months it will become clearer to both of us whether we want to stay together. Is this true, or will I still be just as confused in 2 months?Further to my previous question, if my ex and I dont contact each other for 2 months, will it become clear if?
Maybe. If you work to clear your mind, try to do other things, see what else is out there, keep yourself busy and try to take a step back and look at the whole picture, then yes, I think a break would help you.

Take some time to yourself...go for a walk. Then think to yourself, and ask yourself some serious questions.

Will I have a loving and fulfilling future with this man?

Can I see myself still with him in the next 5-10 years? 20 years?

Can I commit myself to him?

    Can I respect his opinions?

Does he treat me with love and respect?

Do we both want the same things out of life?

Answer these questions to yourself logically, all emotions aside. Be honest with yourself. If you do this and you find that this relationship doesn't have what you want, then you probably should end it.

Good luck, either way.Further to my previous question, if my ex and I dont contact each other for 2 months, will it become clear if?
Time apart may make it clearer to you. Whether it's going to take 2 months or 1 year, is impossible to tell though.
Age may be a factor in this: If teen to tween, I'd say one week is all its going to take for him to find someone else and you'll be maybe a side fling since you are so confused... be careful.
Time heals a broken heart. If seems you can't forgive him then let him go, its not fair to you or him. Time is a great healer and brings everything to perspective especially when you have time to think of what you really want.
I faced a real problem like this recently, but with a friend. I was ambivalent towards her, going back and forth, feeling scared to let the friendship go, and feeling sick of myself and her if I stayed.

Here's my advice, which I got from a good source: make a decision! Then, stick with it. Good or bad. If you decide to stay, take good with the bad. If you dump him, dump him, clean and easy.

    Choose!

You will feel empowered, and it will be good for you.

WHICH ARE BETTER CONTACT LENSES: ACUVUE OASIS OR CLARATIN CLEAR?

    WHAT DO YOU THINK??

the contact lenses!!!!!!WHICH ARE BETTER CONTACT LENSES: ACUVUE OASIS OR CLARATIN CLEAR?
It really depends on where you buy it... and if it fits your prescription.

If you just called in or bought in online without filling in your prescription...neither.

Edit. I can't believe a top contributor and another person copied me...

%26gt;%26gt;About your latter question, my pick would be Acuve Oasis!WHICH ARE BETTER CONTACT LENSES: ACUVUE OASIS OR CLARATIN CLEAR?
    Neither are better...or worse.

It depends which one happens to be the best fit and vision for you.

The Oasys is great for some people but terrible for others...just like every other brand.

    EDIT ************************

As you can see by the answers wiseguy...assuming that one is better doesn't make any sense.

There is no such thing as better. The same lenses don't work for everyone.

If any one brand was always better, then the other brands wouldn't exist anymore.
it depends on your eyes, and what you feel. some brand of contacts can be perfectly comfortable for one person, and torturous for another. you really just have to try them out to see what works for you.

  • Contacts clear outside but blurry in rooms?

why is it that when i step outside with my contacts, everything is clear and sharp like glasses, but when i go inside rooms or stores, everything looks a bit blurry and weird? i have astigmatism but i didnt get toric lenses because optician said try regular. [first time wearing it, this is a trial pair of soft lenses].Contacts clear outside but blurry in rooms?
If you have an astigmatism but use a spherical contact then you have some of your prescription that is not being accounted for. so when your eyes have to focus in darker areas you don't get the same sharpness as when your eyes are being aided by the sunlight for sharpness.Contacts clear outside but blurry in rooms?
Your trial pair probably is not your exact prescription, so they will not perform as well.

Sunlight is the best source to view things. There can be less sharpness with artificial light.

For some people it takes a couple of days to get used to wearing contacts.
omg that happens to me to ! but now the lady at the doctors said to blink alot inside because of something outside makes it clear idk what just blink alot :P
Me too. They gave my reading glasses for when I do lots of reading to wear over top of my contacts. lol :P

My contact lenses dilemma? it aint so clear compared to wearing glasses? normal?

i just got my eye tested and bought a month supply of contacts.. i put that on it really wasnt that clear compared to wearing my glasses... in fact it was a lil blurry i cant make out the site add on my com screen about a meter away but is totally fine with my glasses..but funny thing everytime i yawn my eyes start to tear up i get a lil clarity but got back to normal soon after? not enuf moisture or am i just new to this? thanks! My contact lenses dilemma? it aint so clear compared to wearing glasses? normal?
I don't get near perfect vision with contacts. I wear one in my left for close up vision and one in my right for distance. But its always a bit blurry, I think it's probably normal. If they are so blurry you can't read, you should apply rewetting drops because they will get especially blurry if they start to dry out.My contact lenses dilemma? it aint so clear compared to wearing glasses? normal?
well your eye dr should have made you 'test drive' a pair before writing you a perscription. maybe they are too thick for you. Some are. like Oasis. I use acuvue 2. Been wearing contacts for 20 years. never a problem. It may take a while before you get used to them. of course you may have too weak a perscription. Take them out and clean them, or just get a new pair. If after a week it doesnt get any better go see the dr for a new script.
Today just about everyone can wear contact lenses, and there are more healthful and convenient contact lens options than ever before. Contact lenses are used to correct the same conditions that eyeglasses correct. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/

Should I get color contacts, or just stick with the clear?

I'm ordering them on Monday, and I kind of wanted a change.

My eyes are just regular brown.

I don't want anything totally unnatural like topaz or gray or something, but do you think light brown would look ok?

OR should I just stick with clear? lol.Should I get color contacts, or just stick with the clear?
It really depends on how much you are willing to spend. Contacts themselves are pretty pricey, especially as the years pass and you have to order a new set. Color contacts do tends to be more pricey, especially prescription color contacts. So if you are willing to cash out a few more bucks for colors, go ahead. But make sure you are happy with the ones you get, because you will be stuck with them until you need to buy a new supply of contacts. I would say if you choose color contacts go an buy three months worth of contacts, about two boxes with three pairs. That way in case you change your mind you won't be stuck with them for a year, and you saved your self some money.Should I get color contacts, or just stick with the clear?
I think hazel would be really pretty on u. Just try them out and make sure they look natural and not fakey. My brother's girlfriend got violet contacts and they just look so fake. The problem w clear is that if u drop them they are IMPOSSIBLE to find so I think ones w color would be good. To the person saying that u shouldn't get brown contacts cause u have brown eyes bah. I have blue eyes and I wanted them to look darker so I got dark blue contacts. I needed contacts anyway and they didnt cost that much more. U can even get a free trial to see if u like them.

This site is GREAT for checking out contacts:

    http://www.freshlookcontacts.com/colorst…

U can even upload a photo and see how u would look w the contacts.
i also have dark brown eyes. my eyes are REALLY dark though. i think light brown would look lovely. =] i have a friend who looks similar to you, she has green contacts. really pretty too.

edit: although, clear contacts are cheaper. if it were me, i would stick with clear.
    light brown? are you serious?

your going to fork out for coloured contacts and get them the same colour as your eyes

they will not lighten your eyes

different colour contacts (like green or blue) will give you dark green or dark blue eyes

a light brown will do apsolutly nothing on your eyes

so dont waste your money if your going to get brown
Well i personally like wearing clear ones because i think i will look to fake in colored ones but if aren't going to do anything to dramatic i think you should go for the colored ones.(:
Just don't try and get blue or something. They look really bad when you have brown eyes because you can still see the brown underneath badly and it just looks icky.

I think light brown would look okay.
it depends on what looks good. if you think you would look good with light brown eyes, then go ahead. but if you like your natural eye color, choose clear.
Just get clear for now. They'd be the best to start off with, and later on if you want to get color contacts go for it (:
my mom tried colored contacts and she couldn't see out of them because of the color

Is it normal to continously go from clear to blurry vision with toric contact lenses?

I've been wearing toric contact lenses for astigmatism for 3 years now. The new eye Dr I saw recently made some changes to the prescription, and now the new lenses cause my vision to go from clear to blurry all day long. Sometimes it will be one eye, then it will be the other, but it never stabilizes. He is certain he got the prescription correct, but this is really annoying. Can something be changed to the Rx (such as the fit) to make my vision more consistant? Is it normal to continously go from clear to blurry vision with toric contact lenses?
Sounds like the lenses are maybe rotating more than they should and going off axis at times when you blink .

Torics are very difficult to diagnose what the problem could be without actually seeing them on the persons eyes.

Did he switch brands or base curve from what you always had ? If one of those were changed, that opens a whole new can of worms....lol

Your Doc has all the info and what changes he made...there really isn't an obvious solution that can be found without actually seeing them and knowing the history.

    ****

There ya go...changing the axis 20 or 30 degrees looks like the culprit. Most likely the lenses don't center well anymore and rotate to a wrong axis now. But they should be able to see that while you are wearing them on your follow up visit...

My motorola razor says contact service provider. The service provider could not clear the problem. any help?
You could try a couple of things. First though did you talk to tech support at your provider not just a customer service rep. Call your provider from a different phone, not your cell phone. If they still can't fix it then call Motorola. You should find a customer service number in your manual or look on the web to find their number. Be sure and get to speak to tech support. If you are under a contract and especially if you have some warranty left then make them replace the phone if the problem can't be solved. If you send in your phone DO NOT send them your SIM card. You will need it for the phone they send you ! Good luck !

Which cost more, colored contacts or clear contacts?

i want to get contacts but i dont know if i should get colored or clear...Which cost more, colored contacts or clear contacts?
Colored contacts generally do cost more than the clear ones. But there are some cheaper brands out there, such as the Freshlook contacts, and Acuvue Colours that will only run you $30ish per box of 6 lenses, on sites like 1800contacts.com.

If you think you'd like to have them though, you can always ask your doctor to put both colored and clear ones on your prescription; that way you can get some of each, and you can wear either one whenever you feel like it.

Some of the colored contacts do look natural...they are usually the enhancer-type colored contacts. As long as you stick with colors that are kind of similar to your own, they will blend very well, and produce a more natural-looking result.

The eye doctor will have samples of colored contacts, so if you're really interested, try some on, and see how you like them. You can try on as many pairs as you like at your appointment too; that's what the eye doctors get sample contacts for. That will help you get a good idea of what colors you do and don't like, and also help you decide if you even still want colored contacts, or if you'd rather just get clear ones. You'll also be sent home with at least one trial pair of whatever kind of contacts you choose.Which cost more, colored contacts or clear contacts?
Colored contacts ALWAYS cost more than clear lenses. And, in my professional opinion, colored contacts look extremely fake. I'd save the extra money and just go for the clear...but that's just me.
I think you should get clear because they are 'your eyes' and no one oculd tell you are wearing contacts. Of course, the colorful ones cost more than the clear.
    Colored ones.
Colored cost more and if they are prescripted the price will get more expensive.
colored cost more than the regular:)

    No.
As far as i know, they are exactly the same.
    No

I can tell you colored contacts are much easier to find if you drop one.
The colored ones are used by completely vain people to change their eye color.

The clear ones are for people who realize that contacts are to enhance eyesight only...
Nope. They still perform the same.
I find that I see better out of the clear contacts. I don't know why that is. I like the colored ones better though because I find they are easier to take out - I can see them to remove
the only difference is your visit to the optometrist....if you didn't have a consultation you haven't got prescription lenses.
Visually NO! Coloured contacts cost a little more and are not available in as wide a varity of powers. It also depends on the colour change you want-if its dramatic you may need hard contacts if its just an enhancment or highlight soft contacts ligh acuvue freshlook might work-ask your local optomotrist for a free sample!!!!

How do i clear an em address in outlook,, i delted contact but it still comes back?

this is terribly frustrating - how do i clear a em address that i used once in an em. somehow outlook just keeps remembering this em address, when i type the person name,, auto fill of address and it is not in my outlook contacts. i right click delted it but it still does not go away. this must be some kind of secret thing that the ms programs put it to totally frustate dumb boo users like me?? thanks in advanceHow do i clear an em address in outlook,, i delted contact but it still comes back?
Have you deleted (not delted) the email itself? Outlook remembers this if the message still exists in your inbox, or even in your deleted message box. Go to Tools, Address Book, find the person's address and remove it.

And if you don't want the email address to keep popping up, why do you keep putting it in an email message?

Are new contacts suppost to be so clear?

I got new contacts today and I just put it on and it's really clear. I've had contacts for about 4 years already. Are they suppost to be so clear? Will my eyes adjust? Are new contacts suppost to be so clear?
Of course the purpose of wearing the contacts is clear vision. Sometimes, if you have been ';living in the fog'; for awhile, seeing clearly can be a little disconcerting. However, getting headaches from wearing contacts is less likely than getting headaches from a new pair of glasses due to the minimal effect on magnification that contacts have on most prescriptions.

If the headaches continue, especially after prolonged near use, then your contacts may be ';overminused,'; which will still allow you to see clearly for distance viewing, but takes extra effort to focus at all distances, especially up close. This leads to extreme eye fatigue and can cause headaches.

Although ';more power'; in your contact prescription often sounds like the best solution when you feel that your eyesight is terrible, you don't want too much or too little. My three year old son thinks that if he gets bigger shoes he will run faster. The explanation for both problems is similar . . .

Go back to your eye doctor for a recheck on your power if the headaches continue for more than a week.

If no headaches, then just enjoy your excellent vision. Many people are unable to obtain such clear vision despite refractive or surgical remedies. Be happy! Are new contacts suppost to be so clear?
wait, is it a bad thing that their clear? if you got a diffrent kind of contacts it might be causing your headache. i just got new contacts this morning too, and their stronger and clearer but i have no side affects. check to see if their your right prescription.
Maybe you didn't remove the proteins in the olds ones, anyway 4 years is a lot of time for using the same pair!!. You have to replace them every 2 years as much.

And you can have your new contacts confortable using every day a cleaner (the best is POLICLEANS II,Alcon) and removing the proteins every week.

The headhache could be for the change in your dioptrias. Will pass with the days.
They are supposed to be so clear. You get much clearer visual acuity from a contact than from glasses, because the contact lens rides right on the cornea and gives you great peripheral as well as central vision. Changing your contacts every once in a while helps things clear as well.
The headache is most likely you getting used to the new Rx not so much the contact lenses. New contact lenses are made with much thinner and more breathable materials so they will appear clearer. However it is more than likely a large Rx change so now you see sharper. I would suggest removing them for the night and start again in the morning. You most likely wont receive a headache tomorrow.
If you got a new prescription, you just might be seeing clearly!

Also your old contacts might have been full of deposits or needed throwing out, anyway!

Can ringworm be just through contact with animals? and would a over the counter fungal cream cream clear it?

i believe i am dealing with a case of it but, my animals dont have it neither does anyone else in my home....i am just curious as to where else i could have come in contact with it...especially on my upper back arm....Can ringworm be just through contact with animals? and would a over the counter fungal cream cream clear it?
No, can be transferred form any thing that has it. Yes, there is an over the counter cream, just go to any drug store and as the pharmacist what they recommend. Usually a tube can cost around $5 to $8 dollars. It is a minor problem and as long as you treat it with cream for around a week it will go away. Can ringworm be just through contact with animals? and would a over the counter fungal cream cream clear it?
You can get ringworm from other people or from the soil as well as animals, and yes, an over the counter anti-fungal cream should clear it up. You also could've gotten it from touching something that an infected person touched. The fungus enters your bloodstream and the ring shows up later, so that doesn't mean that wherever the ringworm showed up was where your skin came in contact with it. I had ringworm right above the inside of my elbow and I was wearing long sleeves the whole time that I was at the place where I think I got it from.
Ringworm is a common fungal infection of the skin. The name is a misnomer since the disease is not caused by a worm.

    Description

More common in males than in females, ringworm is characterized by patches of rough, reddened skin. Raised eruptions usually form the circular pattern that gives the condition its name. Ringworm may also be referred to as dermatophyte infection.

As lesions grow, the centers start to heal. The inflamed borders expand and spread the infection.

    Types of ringworm

Ringworm is a term that is commonly used to encompass several types of fungal infection. Sometimes, however, only body ringworm is classified as true ring-worm.

Body ringworm (tinea corporis) can affect any part of the body except the scalp, feet, and facial area where a man's beard grows. The well-defined, flaky sores can be dry and scaly or moist and crusty.

Scalp ringworm (tinea capitis) is most common in children. It causes scaly, swollen blisters or a rash that looks like black dots. Sometimes inflamed and filled with pus, scalp ringworm lesions can cause crusting, flaking, and round bald patches. Most common in black children, scalp ringworm can cause scarring and permanent hair loss.

Ringworm of the groin (tinea cruris or jock itch) produces raised red sores with well-marked edges. It can spread to the buttocks, inner thighs, and external genitals.

Ringworm of the nails (tinea unguium) generally starts at the tip of one or more toenails, which gradually thicken and discolor. The nail may deteriorate or pull away from the nail bed. Fingernail infection is far less common.

    Causes and symptoms

Ringworm can be transmitted by infected people or pets or by towels, hairbrushes, or other objects contaminated by them. Symptoms include inflammation, scaling, and sometimes, itching.

Diabetes mellitus increases susceptibility to ring-worm. So do dampness, humidity, and dirty, crowded living areas. Braiding hair tightly and using hair gel also raise the risk.

fungrx is a type of over the counter med.

    Diagnosis
If you consistently put rubbing alcohol on it for about a week it should go away. If it doesn't go away by then I would see a doctor for something stronger.
No you can get it out the yard also and yes you can get ride of it with an over the counter remedy
I guess you could have picked it up at the gym. Web MD said over-the-counter anti-fungal creams might help, like that used for jock strap itch and athletes feet. It is contagious. Crazy that you have it on your arm. I remember as a kid we'd get our scalp examined by the nurse to see if we had ring worm.
Ringworm is actually very common in small children as well as animals. Perhaps you could see a doc to verify your diagnosis? It might be best, you don't want to go rubbing the wrong ointment on there and make it worse.
I suppose you may have come into contact with someone who had it and you picked it up that way. It's estimated that 20% of the population of the planet has some amount of it. It's particularly common among children. Normally you'd get it through skin to skin contact, though it can also be spread through contact with an infected item such as a hair brush.

You could try one of the anti-fungal creams or ointments from your local drugstore. Try to find something that contains miconazole, clotrimazole, terbinafine, butenafine or tolnaftate. Tinactin and Lamasil are a couple of the products that may work. One or the other should clear it up. If it doesn't you'll have to see your doctor to get something a little more potent.

Be sure to keep an eye on your animals, especially if you've had any contact with them such as petting. Ringworm is fairly easy to transmit and, even though they may not show signs yet, they could be infected.

    Good luck!
i'm not really sure were you can get it from but i got told if you want to move it you put ice on it for a long time.
Ringworm is a fungal infection that you can get from contact with any one or thing that has the same fungus. If your pets dont have any fungus, you could have gotten it from another person, something in the yard, or I knew a little girl who got it from a fall in Disneyland, she scuffed her knee, and got a fungal infection in the scrape. Over the counter creams like those used for athlete's foot can sometimes help, but if it hasn't cleared up after a week or so, go to a doctor, because there are other skin conditions that can look the same including certain types of skin cancer and eczema, based on the locations you describe, I think you might want to consider eczema, which can come up at any point in a person's life.

Who can do i contact if landlord does not clear brush from front door entrance?

I recently moved in a 4 unit apartment complex(2 units on the top and 2 on the bottom) with my two children (7yr old and a 2mth old). A week after i moved in the owner started doing repairs on the unit in front of mine. From the time he gets off work until as late as 1:00am he is making noise. I figured that it would only be acouple days and i never complained About a week ago he began removing the hedge that completely covers a brick wall runs along side of the property and is taller than the 2 story complex. It is impossible to enter my unit from the front entrance not to mention the walk way that runs along side of the complex is completely covered with the brush. Who can i complain to? He has not once appoligized for the inconvience nor did he mention to me that he would be block the front door entrance. I am worried about all the insects that a crawling around due to the disturbance. Please any advice is appreciated .Who can do i contact if landlord does not clear brush from front door entrance?
You do not want to start any ill will with your landlord. Call him and request a meeting and tell him your concerns. If he is uncooperative politely inform him that you are paying him for a habital place to live and at this time you do not feel it is habital. If he still does not remedy the issue with you feel free to contact your local fire department. Blocking an entrance to a residents is considered a fire hazard. They will more then likely slap him with a big fine. If he is angry with you at least you tried to work it out yourself first.Who can do i contact if landlord does not clear brush from front door entrance?
    Call the fire department.
Explain to him nicely that it is a safety issue, i.e., you are not able to enter or exit your house from the front. I'll bet he will fix the problem quickly. Good landlords do not want problems. Follow up your concern with an e-mail or letter, and I'll bet you will see results.

Of course it's okay, but just never wear colored contacts to sleep even if they don't bother you they will mess up your eye and take away the oxygen that goes to your eye and cause damage. But evetyday wear is fine just no sleeping with them.. Hope you like your new lookContact lenses?is it ok to wear them even though my vision is clear, wear them, just for the nice color?
OK to wear contacts just for the color... just remember, our bodies are resilient and built to withstand pressures from all sorts. If your eyes start to bother you, then something must be going wrong.

Skip the Ipod, it's a waste of money. You can get a cheaper MP3 player as low as $19.99 just about anywhere.
There is no problem in doing this. They do make colored contacts that do not correct vision in any way. Merely cosmetic.
Why not? I saw this girl with red contacts once. It was very startling and I liked it. Try whatever color you think would be fun.
they have contact lenses that are non-prescription and have just the colors on them, get the damn iPod...I have the same one and I love it...they have these new ones that are different colors, I dont understand the phone question, but if u like it then get it.
It's ok to wear them as long as you don't get perscription ones. Make sure you follow the directions cause your veins in your eyes can become attached to the lens after a long time in use.

don't know about an ipod, so not willign to spend any. I have a radio and cd player need nothign else.

    Blue eyes and Clear Contacts?

now what im curious is do my clear contacts make my eyes a lighter blue? because everytime i wear them it seems like people ask me if im wearing colored contacts and i always have to say no . i personaly dont notice a change but others do.Blue eyes and Clear Contacts?
As a dispensing optician I would usually say no they are clear so have no effect on your eye colour....However, I also find that my eyes are a slightly different shade of blue when I wear my contacts, somewhat lighter. I have no idea why this happens or how, but it does. I can only assume that because my contacts have a light blue handling tint on them, that maybe has something to do with it? I'm not sure. So if your contacts lenses have the same light blue handling tint on them, that could be what's causing the change.Blue eyes and Clear Contacts?
Its proberbly cause you wore glasses before

and they are just noticing a difference

or maybe your glasses were slightly tinted

Why would a man verbally and nicely express clear interest in a woman. . . then not contact her for a week ?

I've known this man from a group I socialize with for about 4 months now. Last week, after a social event, he walked me to my car at night as it was dark, then he kissed me.

We shared conversation, kissed little bit more . . . he called me the next evening . . . sent me a nice e-mail following day . . . then no contact for following week.

If I have an interest in a man, which I do with this man, I do let him know I'm interested, yet I won't chase any man. I did send him a friendly ' hi ' e-mail earlier today after not hearing from his for whole week. I do have interest to wonder more of what he is about. . . yet, I don't 'chase after' any man.

Why would a man reflect towards me as he did, then no contact for full week ?

Any insight ?Why would a man verbally and nicely express clear interest in a woman. . . then not contact her for a week ?
Many times when a man knows that a relationship is going down the drain... He will find himself liking some one else..Problem is it moves to fast.. In other words he expresses his feelings for that person before he isout of his current situation... It could be that he is getting out of a relationship.. Or worse maybe he is in a relationship with no intentions of getting out.... Or maybe he just got really busy! I know this probably does not help.... I wish you the best of luck in your confusing situation though! Why would a man verbally and nicely express clear interest in a woman. . . then not contact her for a week ?
    he is a player.
Maybe it's similar to taking a car you really like for a test drive: It's pretty, drives pretty nice for the short term, but when they bring out the paperwork, maybe he didn't want to be tied to the same model for 5 years.

You claim you send clear signals when you are interested in a man, yet you won't chase him. Maybe he feels the same way, so now you two are at an impass. Sweeten the deal; let him no there are no long-term strings attached, or let it go. Men hate to be cornered...
Seem kinda jr-highish but if you socialize with the same people ask his friends about it without giving too much away . One of the best ways to judge a person is by the company they keep.

NOOOOOO!!!! Oh dear, please don't try it. Just ask for some sample colored contacts from your ophthalmologist.

i wear contacts and i wanted to know if you can use them. they are the ones for relieving redness, burning, and irritation.. i know some drops are bad for contacts. Can you use clear eyes relief drops with contacts?
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying naphazoline ophthalmic. Ask your doctor if contact lenses can be reinserted after application of the medication. Naphazoline ophthalmic may contain a preservative (benzalkonium chloride), which may cause discoloration of contact lenses.

Do not use naphazoline ophthalmic more often or continuously for longer than 48 to 72 hours without consulting a doctor. Chronic use of this medication may damage the blood vessels(veins and arteries) in the eyes. Consult a doctor if your symptoms do not improve or appear to worsen.

ok, firstly, im pretty sure you aren't supposed to put glasses in water. its not good for your eyes. (i wear contacts). im pretty sure that the contacts turned green because of some reaction or something with the water. and im sure they're not useable now. it wont be safe.

Does anyone have any feedback on pro clear sphere contacts? I am having a problem with them tearing very easy?

If the contacts are tearing easy then put a drop of solution in your eye before you take the contact out and then put some solution on your finger when you grab them. If they fold up don't try to open them without putting it in the palm of your hand and putting solution in your palm then working the contact around until it opens up. It is all about keeping your contact moist.

If we didn't find any bugs and washed are clothes immediately are we in the clear?

And can the nits transfer from people to people or is it just the lice?

thanksHead lice ? please? Family came in contact with it?????r we in the clear?
    http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/鈥?/a>

Lice are highly contagious and can spread quickly from person to person, especially in group settings (schools, childcare centers, slumber parties, sports activities, and camps).

Though they can't fly or jump, these tiny parasites have specially adapted claws that allow them to crawl and cling firmly to hair. They spread mainly through head-to-head contact, but sharing clothing, bed linens, combs, brushes, and hats can also help pass them along. Kids are most prone to catching lice because they tend to have close physical contact with each other and often share personal items.

Colored contacts compared to clear ones?

i would love to try colored contacts.

about for a year i had clear bausch and lomb conacts for eyesight. (not bad)

can i get colored contacts when i renew my prescription?

how hard would i be to switch?

whats the price difference?Colored contacts compared to clear ones?
they look dumb.Colored contacts compared to clear ones?
Sure, you can ask for colored contacts when you get your scrip renewed. It's not hard at all to change over. There will be some price difference from your contacts to colored ones, but it's not too bad. Check out 1800contacts.com or other online stores, since you know your pupil size. That should help you see what kind of price difference there is between what you wear now and the colored ones.

Your doctor should let you try on as many pairs of colored ones as you like at your next appointment. This will help you decide what colors you do and don't like. He/she will also send you home with a trial pair.
yes you can get them at your next appointment. they are the same exact thing if you are used to wearing contacts then it wont be a big deal. they are the same if not a little more expensive but not much
i think you should try them. they would look good depending on the color. they wouldnt be that hard to switch and only cost like $30 extra i think
lil bit of a price difference not hard to swap over jus ask em, ur welcome
I have both - a few pairs of lavender (I have really blue eyes and the combo just freaks people out) and plain ones. Depending on the color or style depends on the pricing.
Yeah its not a big price difference. I love color contacts they are cool and most of the time people think they are my real eyes! It should be a smooth switch! Try violet!!
I think they are cool... depends on your age and gender though (any male over 40 should immed. stop wearing them!)
sometimes colored contacts look weird cuz its a completely different eye color.. try looking for a color you like that looks good on you. if you have black or really dark brown eyes don't start out with blue unless you think that it looks REALLY good.
    colored things are sexier!!!
get them there fun and it will be fine i got them my eyes r gold
color are about $25 or 30 for one pair and they are better they have freaking color !!!

  • How do I clear my entire Messenger list if it contains over 400 contacts over the years?

I have so many I cannot clear them all in one setting. Any thoughts? also, how would I send a message to everyone on the entire list?

Thanks! How do I clear my entire Messenger list if it contains over 400 contacts over the years?
If you are talking about Yahoo Messenger, then please continue reading.

OK about sending a group message to everybody. DO THIS BEFORE YOU DELETE THEM. OK open Yahoo Messenger. If you have the contacts organized into groups then just right click each group name and choose Broadcast and IM to this group. Then a new window will open for you to type your message. If you do not have groups click Actions at the top and then choose Send an Instant Message. Left click the first name and then hold down the Shift key and click the last name in the group. They will now be all selected. Click OK. And a window Send Message to group window will open.

I would not delete them from Yahoo Messenger itself but thorugh Contacts in Yahoo! Mail. Ther reason for this is that many people find when they delete a lot of contacts from Yahoo Messenger, they are not really deleted and show up again the next time Y!M is used.

Note the method described below will delete all your contacts including ones you might have as email contacts but not on Yahoo Messenger itself so be sure to remove the checks by the names you do not want to delete.

In Yahoo! Classic Mail click the Contacts tab near the top. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Check All. Please note that you might have to do this on a few pages if you have so many contacts. Remove the checks from the ones you do not want to delete. OK now click the Delete button near the top. This will also remove them from Yahoo Messenger.

In the All-New Yahoo! Messenger click the Contacts category on the left. This will open the Contacts Tab. Or just click the

Contacts Tab at the top. At the top to the left of where it says All Contacts check the blank box. This will select all the contacts. Then click Delete on the right. Again not sure if there will be multiple pages with so many contacts.

A warning these are all your contacts including your email contacts so be sure to remove the checks from any of the boxes that you do not want to delete, that maybe you just use for email and not on your messenger list.

Whatever you decide is totally up to you and what meets your needs. How do I clear my entire Messenger list if it contains over 400 contacts over the years?
    eDIT
are you using yahoo mes or msn?

Are clear contacts easy to put in your eyes...are they a hassle?

im 13 years old and i cant see some things from far away im getting my eyes checked this weekend and my dad is like ready to get my glasses! and i really dont wan't them right now. soo..wat do you think are contacts a hassle? like if i wear them at school will they start drying out or anything that will disturb me from learning and all that good stuff? ohh and can clear contacts/any damage your eyes? Are clear contacts easy to put in your eyes...are they a hassle?
Contacts are great! I think 13 is a good age to start wearing them. It may take you a few weeks to get used to them. They shouldn't dry out or disturb your learning at all. As long as you don't over wear them and clean them they will not damage your eyes. Are clear contacts easy to put in your eyes...are they a hassle?
I started wearing contact lenses when I was about your age, (now I am really really old) and I agree with the other comments. They were easy to put in after instruction, and if you follow the eye doctors instructions you should have no problems.

The only thing the eye doctor has ever told me about long term contact lense use is contact lenses restrict the oxyen to your eyes, and wearing glasses occassionally is healthy.

Good luck! I hope your appointment goes well!
Contacts are fabulous. I have worn them for more than 30 years.

At first I had trouble learning to put them in, but it wasn't long before I could do it without using a mirror (and I'm pretty blind)!

Also, with clear contacts, they can make them very slightly tinted and it does not change the color of your eyes, but does make it easier for you to see the contacts when you are handling them.

    Good luck!
Soft contact lenses are very comfortable.... once they're in, you won't even know they're there!

Most opticians are happy to give you a sample pair (for free) for you to keep and wear, before deciding whether to purchase some. If you wear them to school, just take the container they came in, so that you can take them out if you think they're bothering you. (But... I'll bet they won't!)

I've been wearing soft contacts for 35 years... and no problems here. Enjoy!
It's not so bad. Try the disposables. Once you get some practise, you would get the hang of it.
Don't be worried about putting in your contacts. When you get your eye exam, they will sit there with you until you can get your contacts in. Their associate will tell you how to get them in. My eyes are small, so I wear ciba vision contacts because they tend to be smaller, and have a blue tint to them, so I can see them if I drop one.

I also have color contacts that are much larger, at first it was hard for me to get them in, but after practice and my brothers coaching me, I don't really have a problem with those now either.

You should also get saline solution with your purchase. Usually you will get a small bottle of solution, you can put this in your backpack or locker at school and put drops in your eye if your contacts start to get too dry (they will probably dry out quicker when you first start wearing them.)

Contacts can damage your eyes if you don't keep them clean, by not putting them in fresh solution often enough, not rubbing them enough right before you put them in, or sleeping with contacts in that are not meant for long term ware.

Don't worry, my brothers and myself all got contacts when we were about your age and we all still wear our contacts today. They are much easier than glasses.

    Good Luck!!

There is a box with previous contacts in it (search contact box) I think - would like to clear it out?

The record of search history which appears in the search box on Yahoo! is actually a feature controlled by your browser, not Yahoo!

If you have Internet Explorer as your browser, you may stop the search history from being generated by following the instructions below:

Select the the 'Tools' menu in Internet Explorer.

Select 'Internet Options', then select the 'Content' tab.

Under Personal information, click on the 'AutoComplete' box.

On the AutoComplete Settings window you can click the 'Clear Forms' box to delete your current history, or you can uncheck the Forms box to permanently stop the generation of the search history.

New contact, exact same prescription, not as clear??

Anyone else had any problems with disposable contacts that are the exact same prescription and brand not being as clear when you put a new one in?? i wear frequency 55 torics and there have been several times when i put a new lens in for the month and it isn't as clear as the old one. it comes from the same box and everything?New contact, exact same prescription, not as clear??
I have had that problem and when I call the eye dr he just tells me it is a bad lense in that package.New contact, exact same prescription, not as clear??
make sure they are clean. if they are you can take them back for an exchange. sometimes that just happens.

If you use Clear Care as solution for contacts, do you have to change the case everytime you get a new bottle?

I was just wondering because the box of Clear Care solution comes with a new case for the contacts. If you use Clear Care as solution for contacts, do you have to change the case everytime you get a new bottle?
It's best to change the case every time you get new solution. There are microbes and bacteria that you can't get rid of just by washing your container. It is much healthier for your eyes if you practise this with every change of solution, no matter what kind you use. I use Complete and it comes with a new container in every box. It is also much healthier to use disposable contacts than it is to use the conventional type.If you use Clear Care as solution for contacts, do you have to change the case everytime you get a new bottle?
The disc in the case for Clear Care neutralizes the solution so you do have to change the case to keep the solution working effectively. It is a peroxide based system and the peroxide is neutralized by the disc. That is why the solution says to not put it directly in the eyes- it would cause a very bad burn if it wasn't neutralized.

You can clear your Google search history from the Google search box, the Google Toolbar, or your browser. We've included instructions for all three methods below.

CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE SEARCH BOX HISTORY

The search history that displays in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for disabling this search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center.

    Microsoft Internet Explorer

    1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.

    2. Select ';Internet Options'; and the ';Content'; tab.

    3. Within the ';Personal information'; area, select ';AutoComplete.';

    4. Click on ';Clear Forms.'; You can also un-check the ';Forms'; box in this window to keep this information from being stored in the future.

    5. Click ';OK'; to exit.

Alternatively, you can delete individual entries from your search history by using the Down arrow key to highlight a previous search, then pressing the Delete key once.

    MSN

If you're using the Microsoft Network (MSN), changes made in Internet Explorer (IE) will take effect in your MSN browser. After making changes in IE, you'll need to sign out of and back into MSN for the changes to take effect.

    Mozilla Firefox

    1. Go to the ';Tools'; menu.

    2. Select ';Options'; %26gt; ';Privacy'; %26gt; ';Saved Form Information.';

    3. Click ';Clear'; and un-check the box.

    4. Click ';OK'; to exit.

    Safari

    1. Go to the ';Safari'; menu and select ';Preferences.';

    2. From the menus that pop up, select ';Autofill.';

    3. Go to ';Other forms'; line and select the ';Edit'; button.

    4. From the list of sites for which AutoFill is currently being applied, select ';Google.com'; %26gt; ';Remove'; %26gt; ';Done.';

    CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE TOOLBAR HISTORY

To clear your search history from the drop-down text box on the Google Toolbar:

    1. Click on the Google logo on the Toolbar to access the drop-down menu.

    2. Select the ';Clear Search History'; option.

    If you'd like to completely disable your Toolbar's search history, please click the ';Options'; button on your Toolbar and un-check the box next to ';Drop-down search history.';

If you have Google Toolbar 4.0 installed, you can clear your Toolbar's search history by starting to enter a search term in your Toolbar's search box. When your drop-down search history appears, simply click the ';Clear History'; link.

Please note that this only clears the search history from the Google Toolbar, which is entirely separate from the search history stored by your browser.

If you've followed these steps and information still appears in your Toolbar search box as you type, please visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/answer鈥?/a> for additional assistance.

    CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY

Like your Google search box history, the search history that displays in the address bar on the Google homepage is stored by your browser, not by Google. Instructions appear below for clearing and/or disabling your search history in common browsers. If your browser isn't listed, we suggest consulting its online support center.

    well with no insurance:

contact lens exam will run about 69-120.00

cost of lenses will vary and depends on:

if u have astigmatism or not torics are a little more$

do u have the same Rx for both eyes?

the brand and style u want.

Most people can wear contacts, but there are some who can't .

I currently use clear contacts. I'm thinking of ordering some colored ones. Can i use the same prescription?

If you are in the United States, you should NOT be able to get colored contacts with a contact lens prescription that indicates a specific lens. Different lens materials have different fitting characteristics and different oxygen transmission levels. Even lenses with the same curvature from different companies, or just different materials, will fit differently. Sometimes there's a reason your eye doctor puts you into a certain lens. If you do get lenses without the exact written prescription for the colored lenses, the place you buy them is dispensing contacts against FDA guidelines, which is illegal. This could cause them to lose their business license.I currently use clear contacts. I'm thinking of ordering some colored ones. Can i use the same prescription?
you definately can... just make sure the colored ones have the same base curve and diameter as the ones you normally wear..

i haven't been able to find any colored ones the same as mine and tried buying the closest ones to them but they irritated my eyesI currently use clear contacts. I'm thinking of ordering some colored ones. Can i use the same prescription?

Why does clear care contacts cleaner disappear during cleaning sometimes almost none left in the container?

this puts it below the contacts

    is this normal

is this ok for the lens

i usually add saline to cover the contacts but only after the six hours is upWhy does clear care contacts cleaner disappear during cleaning sometimes almost none left in the container?
it means that your solution, during the chemical process, is ';boiling'; or bubbling out of the case.

sometimes this happens. just make sure you fill your case to the line, and that you always store the case upright. the ';lock'; on the lid that keeps the solution from exiting out of the holes in the top only works after the chemical change (or after 6 or so hours). if you have knocked the case over or stored it on its side, then its spilling out while it's ';processing'; the hydrogen peroxide

i'm not sure if anyone ever explained it to you before, so let me say:

clear care is a hydrogen peroxide solution system. the hydrogen peroxide (the stuff in the bottle - never use regular hydrogen peroxide) reacts with the charcoal disk at the bottom of the case. During the chemical reaction, the solution heats up and bubbles, thus cleaning your lenses. After about 6 hours, the original hydrogen peroxide will be converted to a simple saline solution thru the reaction with the charcoal disk.

this method uses no preservatives and is very gentle on the eye, while being a great disinfectant for the lenses.

**adding saline is fine, make sure your lenses are well hydrated before insertion into your eye.

hope i helped, maybe you'll have better luck with your case in the future :)

Does anyone use Clear Care for their contacts?

I just got a sample from my optometrist to tryout since my eyes are always dry. Does anyone else use it here? The question I have is, is it okay to rinse the special case it comes with after use or am I fine just leaving it alone since the solution turns to salt water?Does anyone use Clear Care for their contacts?
I use Clear Care and love it! Typically I empty the case and rinse it with warm water and allow it to sit out and air dry for the day.Does anyone use Clear Care for their contacts?
I rinse mine right with regular contact sultion after I take the contacts out. I also rinse the middle peice with regular contact sultion as well that way I don't accidently get some of the clear care solution on my fingers and then into my eyes bc it really really does burn like bad. Unfortunally I learned the hard way.
Rinse the case out with hot water and let it air dry. Make sure you NEVER put Clear Care in your eyes! And make sure you let it sit in the case for at least 6 hours. Also, every time you buy a new bottle, throw away the case and start with the fresh one. Clear Care is a great solution, it is more comfortable for the eyes. My boyfriend has sensitive eyes with his contacts but when he uses clear care his eyes are fine. Clear Care is preservative-free. It removes the proteins from the contacts better than other solutions. It is a very good choice. The only reason why other people might not use it is because it is more expensive than regular solutions and it is more time consuming.

Have a bottle of Opti-Free, for example, around in case you need to rinse your contacts and put them right back in your eye. NEver rinse your contacts with Clear Care and put it back in your eye.
I used to use Clear Care (just had LVC). I would usually rinse my case with saline solution after use and let air dry. Never had a problem with it. I'm not sure what the directions say on it anymore...but follow the packaging directions...if it says to rinse, you should. I just always preferred to rinse everything when I was done with some saline (even rinsed prior to use just to make sure that no dust fell in while it was air drying).
I have used clear care for a long time, I rinse the case and the lenses in saline. You can rinse the case in warm water and let it air dry too. I just do keep some Opti free or plain saline on hand in case I just have to take my lenses out for a small period of time to take a nap or to take a shower or just to rest my eyes after work adn before I go out again. So, having saline or optif free on hand is a good idea anyway. You will love Clear Care!

Do clear contacts change eye colour?

i dotn mean like change colour all together, but like, maybe make them slightly lighter, since its like another layer, probably reduces melanin in the eye?..i have dark brown eyes btw.Do clear contacts change eye colour?
No they don't, I have had contacts for about 4 years or more and the same colored eyes as yours and the only color u may notice is a blue linning around your contacts

It does make your eyes look slightly shinner, but those are the only two differencesDo clear contacts change eye colour?
no they dont. if u wish to change ur eye colour with contacts use colour contact lens. they are available in many colours and powers. u can choose yours accordingly.
No, i wear contacts and if anything they make them stand out more and catch the light.
I wear clear contacts, usually all they do is give you a blue ring, or ';halo'; around your cornea.
i wear clear contacts- i dont think they do- just more recognisable than behind glasses
    No, it doesn't.

  • Why does a plano contact lens as clear as -1.00 prescription lens when i wear them?

I bought two pairs of contact lenses. The first pair is plano (0.00, 0.00) and the second pair is prescripted (-1.00, -1.00). I have a bad vision but when I wear the plano contact lenses, it make my vison as much clear as the one with prescription. It basically gives me the same clear vision effect. Have anyone experienced this? Or can anyone explain this to me? I might as well buy the plano if makes my vison as much clear as the one with prescription.

P.S. I really compared them carefully, and they are as clear as the other. They both gave me the same fantastic clear vison. Why does a plano contact lens as clear as -1.00 prescription lens when i wear them?
The reason why this happens is:

    1) Your prescription is not particularly strong. You do have a bit of astigmatism (-1.00), but your actual near correction ( the other -1.00) is not what an optician would call ';strong';. You probably prefer seeing the world with your lenses on, but can function very well without them I imagine.

    2) You have astigmatism. Your eye is football shaped, as opposed to more round shape, like a basketball. This means your contact sits on your eye with the centers resting more on the point of your eye than on the edges. Your prescription lenses take this into account and are curved -1.00 diopters to account for this. When you put them on, your eye becomes essentially round, and you see great.

    3) Your plano contacts do not have the curve of your prescription lenses, and they sit more on the point of your eye, BUT, your tears fill in the spaces between the contact and your eye, artificially giving you a perfectly round surface again. You therefore see basically the same, or better, than you do with your prescription lenses!

Voila, THAT is why you see clear with both. In one case its the plastic of the prescription lens taking care of your astigmatism, in the other its the action of your tears accomplishing basically the same thing.

Should I contact her to clear the air?

Over a year ago I helped a girl on her assignments. It was my last year in college. She was a good friend and I really liked her company. She said she 'owed' me or more than one occasion. At that time I was going through a really bad time with my family and I was not able to contact her. After meeting up with after two months I did not want to tell her my personal problems so I said ';I forgot'; to which her response was a resounding ';whatever'; however I don't think there was any ill-feeling.

I did ask her later, she suggested a time but I was unable to answer due to my personal at home situation. It was a extremely turbulent time for me personally and I had to go away. Should I contact her and apologize and smooth things out, she probably thought I am doing the ';forgot'; thing again. We haven't had any contact since then.

Should I contact her to clear things as my personal problems are now gone or should I just let this go and move on. I am a guy btw. Any suggestions will be helpful.Should I contact her to clear the air?

Is it true that color contacts are more uncomfortable then clear?

I head that they are and that they sometimes hurt. is this true, or does is feel the same as clear ones?Is it true that color contacts are more uncomfortable then clear?
The only way any contact will hurt or be uncomfortable is if there is something on the lens, or if they aren't fitted for your eyes properly. All contacts are really comfortable once your eyes become adjusted to wearing them, which can take up to 2 weeks for some people.

I wear the Freshlook Dimensions, and they do seem a bit thinner than many of the other contact brands out there (colored or clear), but other than that, I never notice any discomfort or anything. You should be fine as long as you keep the contacts clean, and change them like you are supposed to.

FYI, if you do get colored contacts, you will not see things in color. The colored part of the contact is only on the iris area...the pupil area is clear, and your pupil is what you use to see with.

If you're interested in getting colored contacts, make an appointment with your eye doctor. After your exam and fitting (if your current scrip has expired), the eye doctor will let you try out trial pairs of colored contacts, and that way you can see how they feel for yourself. Is it true that color contacts are more uncomfortable then clear?
    no
Are you talking about the cosmetic ones? Like purple, snake eyes, etc? I bet these are more uncomfortable, because it's probably just plastic, not made by real optomitrists. However, tinted contacts from a opitcal exam center are the same, they just tint the lenses. Mine are blue, but that's because my eyesight is SO bad, that if I drop it and it were clear, I'd never find them! The blue helps them stand out for my eyesight.
I've worn regular corrective contacts for decades, both hard lenses and the newest soft ones, and I've worn both clear and colored. I've never noticed a difference in comfort level due to color. The above poster is right, though - the cosmetic lenses are different and are often problematic.

Ask your opthalmologist. Maybe there's a chance that some might be supersensitive to the regular lenses.
I don't know what would make them uncomfortable, but I would say it takes away from your vision. That would be like walking in a place and seeing the same color everywhere. They should feel the same as a clear contacts. Just make sure hat the outer side of the contact is tinted, not the inside. Now that might make them feel uncomfortable. Talk to the eye Doctor, he will know for sure.
Not really, but the material do play a part in whether the user feel comfortable wearing it. fitting also.
Well, today, I got a sample of hazel and brown of Freshlook Contacts to try since I am interested. When I got home to try them on, I noticed that the lens was thinner, stickier, and not as rounded as a normal one. One time, it slipped to my eyelid after putting them in. Oh well, they still look great!

Should I get colored contacts or clear?

I have blue eyes in case you are wondering. Guys out there do you think blues eyes are hot or a not? Anyways i need contacts because i dont like the feeling of glasses. ThanksShould I get colored contacts or clear?
I tried colored lenses and they colored what I saw, too. I had green and blue. The green ones were terrible because everything had a green cast to it. The blue ones were easier to deal with, but still... I stopped using them.

Now, if you're talking about tinted lenses, those won't change the color of your eyes, but they're tinted just enough so you can see them if you drop them.

But I'd skip the eye-changing lenses except for special occasions.Should I get colored contacts or clear?
wow i would DIE for blue eyes.

    mine are really dark brown.

just go for clear ones, your eyes are probably gorgeous, show them off! :)

but if you really want to try a colored one, go for it!
blue eyes are beautiful as is.. so i think you should just get clear..
    Clear.
Clear. I tried colored contacts and not only were they far more expensive, but they irritated my eyes very badly. Clear has always worked just fine with me.
Contacts only last a few weeks, so do what will satisfy you most. Go wild if you want with the colored contacts - I've seen a guy with white contacts making it look like his eyes rolled around to the back of his head.. freaky.
    clear.

i like the contacts with the designs on them though..like swirls, etc. : )
    no
CLEAR! Those colored ones are freaky looking, don't look real at all.
Guys do not like fake things... Be yourself... Dont change your color because blue eyes are pretty... You are being natural...

Clear, because blue eyes are beautiful, make things natural don't make things fake be proud of what you look like.
Coloured contacts are pretty cool I think, they can make you look different and you can do all kinds of different ones. I needed contacts and I had regular boring ones, but I ended up buying this crazy stylish set of contacts for about $800. My mom still doesn't believe that I managed to get the money haha, but I just followed the guides at a site I found on here http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com and managed to pay for them in about a month.

So yes, go with coloured as its more stylish and cute.

    GL,

    Adar.
    clear
stick with clear. Colored contacts look phony and you can tell they are.
